THRESHOLD COMPLEX EXPLORATION LOG

Designation / Log ID: 47-R44

Apparent Date/Time: 22 September 2026 / 09:14 (local) — secondary stamp reads 03:47 19 November 1968

Entry Method: Single steel door marked “C-51 CENTRIFUGE GALLERY – AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY”. Exterior clear aperture measures 2.01 m × 2.38 m. Interior aperture measures 2.19 m × 2.24 m on entry and 1.92 m × 2.47 m on exit.

Environmental Baseline

Lighting: fluorescent tubes, color temperature measured at 4120 K. Intensity constant at 48 lux.

Ambient temperature: 16.4 °C. Humidity: 59 %.

Background sound: continuous low-frequency centrifuge drive resonance at 28 Hz. Baseline reading 19 dB.

Air movement: none detected. Barometric pressure 1012.8 hPa on entry; 1007.3 hPa after 4.1 m of travel.

Spatial Observations

Gallery estimated 72 m long by 7.8 m wide by 4.6 m high. Laser measurement returns 49.7 m long by 7.2 m wide by 4.1 m high.

Floor: sealed concrete with gray chemical-resistant coating. Coating thickness measures 2.1 mm. Surface remains uniform under repeated contact.

Walls: painted concrete block with six vertical centrifuge assemblies. Paint thickness measures 0.9 mm. Surface remains uniform under repeated contact.

Ceiling: exposed structural beams with thirteen recessed lamp fixtures. Fixture count remains thirteen after sixteen visual inventories.

Repeating motif: every 9.3 m a centrifuge unit is mounted against the north wall. Bowl diameter measures 1.84 m. Rotor assemblies are identical across all units.

Anomalies

Visual inventory of centrifuge units returns 6. Physical inventory returns 6. Measured rotational speed equals 0 rpm while calculated residual G-force across the same units equals 3.4 g.

Floor remains level under spirit level. Measured residual film on the lower wall panels slopes 2.1° toward the east wall. Slope reverses after 4 minutes of continuous observation without change in physical orientation.

Gallery pressure measures 1009 hPa while the external door indicator reads 1014 hPa. Seal integrity lights remain green.

Sound of residual rotor cycle arrives 3.1 seconds after the corresponding surface disturbance is detected. Delay increases by 0.31 s for every additional 1.6 m of distance from the entry door.

Humidity at mid-gallery remains 59 % while residual film forms on the centrifuge housings after 5 minutes of observation. Film disperses without measurable change in local humidity.

Local magnetic field strength measures 0.4 gauss at floor level and 2.2 gauss at 1.7 m height. Field direction reverses after 5 minutes without change in gallery state.

Speed gauge needle count on the status array decreases by 14 over 11 minutes while measured drive current at all transducers remains 0.0 A.

Surface of residual film on centrifuge housings exhibits electrostatic cling of 4.2 cm against vertical surfaces. Cling collapses after 41 seconds without measurable change in surface charge.

Entity Notes

None observed.

Exit / Continuity Status

Exit achieved through the same steel door after 52 minutes of observation. Exterior aperture on exit measures 1.92 m × 2.47 m. Residual film on boots dissipates within 11 minutes of exit. Local magnetic field returns to baseline 0.5 gauss within 16 minutes. No further residual effects recorded.
