THRESHOLD COMPLEX EXPLORATION LOG

Designation / Log ID: 57-B54

Apparent Date/Time: 02 October 2026 / 09:14 (local) — secondary stamp reads 03:02 11 November 1968

Entry Method: Service hatch marked “F-58 FILM PROCESSING – DARKROOM STAFF”. Exterior clear aperture measures 0.84 m × 1.92 m. Interior aperture measures 0.97 m × 1.74 m on entry and 0.71 m × 2.11 m on exit.

Environmental Baseline

Lighting: safelight fixtures, color temperature measured at 1800 K. Intensity constant at 4 lux.

Ambient temperature: 18.2 °C. Humidity: 71 %.

Background sound: continuous film-advance click at 0.4 Hz. Baseline reading 18 dB.

Air movement: none detected. Barometric pressure 1014.6 hPa on entry; 1007.2 hPa after 3.1 m of travel.

Spatial Observations

Gallery estimated 19 m long by 5.4 m wide by 2.6 m high. Laser measurement returns 26.8 m long by 4.7 m wide by 3.1 m high.

Floor: sealed concrete with painted drain channels. Channel width measures 42 mm. Surface remains uniform under repeated contact.

Walls: ceramic tile with three wet benches and one drying cabinet. Tile thickness measures 6 mm. Surface remains uniform under repeated contact.

Ceiling: painted plaster with six safelight fixtures. Fixture count remains six after nine visual inventories.

Repeating motif: every 1.3 m a numbered film hanger occupies the rear rail. Hanger hook height measures 1640 mm. Finish is identical across all units.

Anomalies

Visual inventory of film hangers returns 36. Physical inventory returns 36. Measured occupied-hanger count equals 0 while calculated residual occupancy across the same rail equals 9.

Floor remains level under spirit level. Measured residual developer film on the drain-channel edges slopes 2.1° toward the outbound wall. Slope reverses after 5 minutes of continuous observation without change in physical orientation.

Posted process plaque reads 36 HANGERS / 0 RUNS. Measured combined heater current at the three baths equals 0.0 A. Seal integrity lights on the light-lock remain amber.

Sound of residual film advance arrives 1.8 seconds after the corresponding surface disturbance is detected. Delay increases by 0.14 s for every additional 1.0 m of distance from the entry hatch.

Humidity at mid-gallery remains 71 % while residual developer film forms on the channel edges after 4 minutes of observation. Film disperses without measurable change in local humidity.

Local magnetic field strength measures 0.4 gauss at floor level and 1.9 gauss at 1.5 m height. Field direction reverses after 6 minutes without change in gallery state.

Frame count on the open-load reel decreases by 18 over 8 minutes while measured drive current at the processor remains 0.0 A.

Surface of residual developer on channel edges exhibits surface tension hold of 2.9 cm against vertical tile. Hold collapses after 41 seconds without measurable change in fluid volume.

Drain channel migrates 9 mm toward the inbound wall over 6 minutes. Channel returns to original alignment without measurable change in floor temperature.

Bath depth measures 280 mm on first inventory and 241 mm on second inventory of the same bath. Bath returns to 280 mm on third inventory without change in bench position.

Hanger hook height measures 1640 mm on first inventory and 1512 mm on second inventory of the same hanger. Hanger returns to 1640 mm on third inventory without change in rail alignment.

Recorded advance interval equals 2.50 s on the first 20 cycles and 1.73 s on the subsequent 20 cycles. Interval returns to 2.50 s without change in fixture state.

Developer bath temperature measures 18.2 °C. Residual heat print on the same bath wall measures 34.6 °C after 5 minutes without measurable change in ambient temperature.

Entity Notes

None observed.

Exit / Continuity Status

Exit achieved through the same service hatch after 33 minutes of observation. Exterior aperture on exit measures 0.71 m × 2.11 m. Residual developer film on gloves dissipates within 11 minutes of exit. Local magnetic field returns to baseline 0.4 gauss within 13 minutes. No further residual effects recorded.
