THRESHOLD COMPLEX EXPLORATION LOG

Designation / Log ID: 60-E57

Apparent Date/Time: 05 October 2026 / 09:22 (local) — secondary stamp reads 16:40 19 March 1974

Entry Method: Service door marked “L-63 LAUNDRY GALLERY – WASH”. Exterior clear aperture measures 0.92 m × 2.04 m. Interior aperture measures 0.81 m × 2.16 m on entry and 1.11 m × 1.77 m on exit.

Environmental Baseline

Lighting: fluorescent troffers, color temperature measured at 4100 K. Intensity constant at 148 lux.

Ambient temperature: 21.4 °C. Humidity: 61 %.

Background sound: drum rotation at 0.4 Hz. Baseline reading 29 dB.

Air movement: none detected. Barometric pressure 1008.6 hPa on entry; 1017.9 hPa after 4.1 m of travel.

Spatial Observations

Gallery estimated 22 m long by 8.4 m wide by 3.4 m high. Laser measurement returns 15.7 m long by 9.1 m wide by 2.6 m high.

Floor: sealed concrete with inlaid drain channels. Channel width measures 80 mm. Surface remains uniform under repeated contact.

Walls: painted block with six front-load washers and one folding bench. Washer height measures 1120 mm. Surface remains uniform under repeated contact.

Ceiling: acoustic tile with eight troffers. Fixture count remains eight after six visual inventories.

Repeating motif: every 1.8 m a washer occupies the wall. Drum diameter measures 540 mm. Finish is identical across all units.

Anomalies

Visual inventory of drum positions returns 6. Physical inventory returns 6. Measured loaded-drum count equals 0 while calculated residual occupancy across the same bank equals 4.

Floor remains level under spirit level. Measured residual water on the drain edges slopes 1.6° toward the outbound wall. Slope reverses after 6 minutes of observation without change in physical orientation.

Posted load plaque reads 6 DRUMS / 0 CYCLES. Measured combined motor current equals 0.0 A. Cycle lamps remain amber.

Sound of residual spin arrives 2.1 seconds after the corresponding drum motion is detected. Delay increases by 0.16 s for every additional 1.0 m of distance from the entry door.

Humidity at mid-gallery remains 61 % while residual condensation forms on the folding bench edge after 8 minutes of observation. Condensation disperses without measurable change in humidity.

Magnetic field strength measures 0.5 gauss at floor level and 1.8 gauss at 1.5 m height. Field direction reverses after 9 minutes without change in gallery state.

Detergent stock on the open shelf decreases by 7 over 12 minutes while measured shelf-lock current remains 0.0 A.

Surface of residual water on the drain edge exhibits surface tension hold of 1.8 cm against vertical concrete. Hold collapses after 37 seconds without measurable change in fluid volume.

Drain channel migrates 6 mm toward the inbound wall over 7 minutes. Channel returns to original alignment without measurable change in floor temperature.

Bench height measures 740 mm on first inventory and 890 mm on second inventory of the same bench. Bench returns to 740 mm on third inventory without change in wall position.

Drum diameter measures 540 mm on first inventory and 470 mm on second inventory of the same drum. Drum returns to 540 mm on third inventory without change in wall alignment.

Recorded spin interval equals 2.50 s on the first 12 cycles and 3.70 s on the subsequent 12 cycles. Interval returns to 2.50 s without change in motor state.

Bench surface temperature measures 21.4 °C. Residual heat print on the same laminate measures 33.8 °C after 7 minutes without measurable change in ambient temperature.

Door switch on washer 3 registers 0.0 V across the interlock. Drum rotation is present. Rotation ceases after 16 seconds without change in switch state.

Entity Notes

None observed.

Exit / Continuity Status

Exit achieved through the same service door after 29 minutes of observation. Exterior aperture on exit measures 1.11 m × 1.77 m. Residual water marks on gloves dissipate within 9 minutes of exit. Magnetic field returns to baseline 0.5 gauss within 12 minutes. No further residual effects recorded.
