THRESHOLD COMPLEX EXPLORATION LOG

Designation / Log ID: 61-F58

Apparent Date/Time: 06 October 2026 / 09:21 (local) — secondary stamp reads 02:14 11 November 1968

Entry Method: Service door marked “C-66 CHAPEL GALLERY – QUIET”. Exterior clear aperture measures 0.96 m × 2.08 m. Interior aperture measures 0.84 m × 2.21 m on entry and 1.07 m × 1.82 m on exit.

Environmental Baseline

Lighting: wall sconces, color temperature measured at 2700 K. Intensity constant at 42 lux.

Ambient temperature: 18.6 °C. Humidity: 44 %.

Background sound: organ pedal at 0.2 Hz. Baseline reading 24 dB.

Air movement: none detected. Barometric pressure 1012.4 hPa on entry; 1003.1 hPa after 5.2 m of travel.

Spatial Observations

Gallery estimated 28 m long by 9.6 m wide by 6.2 m high. Laser measurement returns 19.4 m long by 11.1 m wide by 4.8 m high.

Floor: stone tile with inlaid aisle strip. Strip width measures 900 mm. Surface remains uniform under repeated contact.

Walls: painted plaster with eight pew banks and one lectern. Pew height measures 860 mm. Surface remains uniform under repeated contact.

Ceiling: plaster vault with four sconces per bay. Fixture count remains sixteen after six visual inventories.

Repeating motif: every 2.4 m a pew occupies the floor. Seat depth measures 380 mm. Finish is identical across all units.

Anomalies

Visual inventory of pew positions returns 8. Physical inventory returns 8. Measured occupied-seat count equals 0 while calculated residual occupancy across the same banks equals 11.

Floor remains level under spirit level. Measured residual wax on the aisle edges slopes 1.4° toward the outbound wall. Slope reverses after 7 minutes of observation without change in physical orientation.

Posted service plaque reads 8 PEWS / 0 SERVICES. Measured combined organ current equals 0.0 A. Pedal lamps remain amber.

Sound of residual hymn arrives 2.6 seconds after the corresponding pedal motion is detected. Delay increases by 0.19 s for every additional 1.0 m of distance from the entry door.

Humidity at mid-gallery remains 44 % while residual condensation forms on the lectern edge after 9 minutes of observation. Condensation disperses without measurable change in humidity.

Magnetic field strength measures 0.4 gauss at floor level and 1.6 gauss at 1.5 m height. Field direction reverses after 8 minutes without change in gallery state.

Candle stock on the open shelf decreases by 5 over 14 minutes while measured shelf-lock current remains 0.0 A.

Surface of residual wax on the aisle edge exhibits surface tension hold of 1.3 cm against vertical stone. Hold collapses after 41 seconds without measurable change in wax volume.

Aisle strip migrates 8 mm toward the inbound wall over 6 minutes. Strip returns to original alignment without measurable change in floor temperature.

Lectern height measures 1120 mm on first inventory and 980 mm on second inventory of the same lectern. Lectern returns to 1120 mm on third inventory without change in wall position.

Seat depth measures 380 mm on first inventory and 310 mm on second inventory of the same pew. Seat returns to 380 mm on third inventory without change in floor alignment.

Recorded pedal interval equals 5.00 s on the first 10 cycles and 3.40 s on the subsequent 10 cycles. Interval returns to 5.00 s without change in organ state.

Pew surface temperature measures 18.6 °C. Residual heat print on the same wood measures 29.2 °C after 8 minutes without measurable change in ambient temperature.

Organ switch at the lectern registers 0.0 V across the interlock. Pedal motion is present. Motion ceases after 19 seconds without change in switch state.

Entity Notes

None observed.

Exit / Continuity Status

Exit achieved through the same service door after 31 minutes of observation. Exterior aperture on exit measures 1.07 m × 1.82 m. Residual wax marks on gloves dissipate within 11 minutes of exit. Magnetic field returns to baseline 0.4 gauss within 14 minutes. No further residual effects recorded.
