THRESHOLD COMPLEX EXPLORATION LOG

Designation / Log ID: TC-LOG-0827-R7

Apparent Date/Time: 18 August 2026 / 03:14 (local) — secondary stamp reads 03:14 14 August 2019

Entry Method: Service hatch marked “R-7 ACCESS – AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY”. Hatch closed after entry. No external handle present on reverse side.

Environmental Baseline

Lighting: intermittent fluorescent tubes, color temperature measured at 4100K. Flicker interval 1.7 seconds.

Ambient temperature: 12.4 °C. Humidity: 78 %.

Background sound: low-frequency hum at 38 Hz. No other audible sources.

Air movement: still. Barometric pressure 1013.2 hPa on entry; 998.6 hPa after 40 m of travel.

Spatial Observations

Tunnel length estimated 180 m from hatch. Measured length by laser: 112 m.

Walls: concrete block, painted institutional green (Pantone 5555 C). Paint thickness varies between 0.8 mm and 4.1 mm without pattern.

Floor: poured concrete with embedded yellow safety line. Line terminates at 67 m, resumes at 89 m oriented 15° off previous axis.

Ceiling height: 2.4 m constant. At 94 m the height measures 2.4 m on left wall and 3.1 m on right wall simultaneously.

Repeating motif: every 11 m a metal plaque is fixed to the left wall. Plaques display sequential numbers beginning at 07 and ending at 03. Numbers decrease.

Anomalies

Distance discrepancy persists under repeated measurement. Laser return time increases by 0.04 s per additional 10 m beyond the 80 m mark.

At 103 m a side door appears. Door is identical to the entry hatch. Opening the door reveals the same tunnel segment already traversed, oriented 180°. Walking through returns the explorer to the 103 m mark facing the original direction.

Clocks mounted at 40 m and 120 m both display 03:14. Hands do not advance. Explorer’s wristwatch advances normally.

Temperature gradient: ambient rises 0.3 °C every 15 m after the 60 m point while humidity remains constant. No heat source located.

Entity Notes

None observed.

At 118 m a shadow is cast on the right wall by an unseen object at ceiling level. Shadow length 1.9 m. No corresponding object or light source present. Shadow remains fixed relative to the explorer’s position for 4 minutes 12 seconds, then vanishes without sound.

Exit / Continuity Status

Exit achieved by retracing path to the entry hatch. Hatch opened outward with no resistance.

Exterior time on exit: 03:51 local. Elapsed interior time: 37 minutes. Wristwatch confirms same interval.

Residual effects: residual 38 Hz tone audible for 11 minutes after exit. Mild pressure sensation behind left eye lasting 22 minutes. No other reported sequelae.
