THRESHOLD COMPLEX EXPLORATION LOG

Designation / Log ID: 16-M13

Apparent Date/Time: 19 August 2026 / 02:47 (local) — secondary stamp reads 02:47 03 March 2014

Entry Method: Unlocked access door marked “T-3 – HIGH VOLTAGE”. Door sealed behind entry. No interior latch mechanism present.

Environmental Baseline

Lighting: steady sodium-vapor fixtures, color temperature measured at 2200K. Intensity constant at 180 lux.

Ambient temperature: 31.6 °C. Humidity: 41 %.

Background sound: continuous 60 Hz electrical buzz. Amplitude 42 dB.

Air movement: mild draft from overhead vents. Barometric pressure 1008.4 hPa on entry; 1021.1 hPa after 25 m of travel.

Spatial Observations

Vault interior estimated 40 m × 22 m. Measured dimensions by laser: 27 m × 35 m.

Walls: painted steel panels, institutional gray (Pantone 431 C). Surface temperature 4.2 °C above ambient.

Floor: raised metal grating over concrete. Grating panels measure 1.2 m × 1.2 m. At the 18 m mark panels shift orientation by 90° without gap.

Ceiling height: 4.8 m. Support beams run east-west. At mid-vault the beams measure 4.8 m from floor on the north side and 3.9 m on the south side simultaneously.

Repeating motif: every 7 m a red warning placard is fixed to the west wall. Placards display the same text: “DO NOT TOUCH”. Text remains legible under all lighting conditions.

Anomalies

Dimensional mismatch remains under repeated measurement. Laser path length exceeds visual estimate by factor of 1.4 beyond the 15 m mark.

At 22 m a bank of transformers appears. Units are identical in model and serial number. Approaching any unit causes the remaining units to occupy the same spatial coordinates for 3.1 seconds before resolving.

Reflections in polished metal surfaces show the explorer’s position offset by 1.8 m to the left of actual stance. Offset persists when explorer turns.

Temperature at transformer surfaces registers 31.6 °C while radiant heat is absent. Contact produces no thermal sensation for the first 4 seconds.

Sound of footsteps arrives 0.9 seconds before the corresponding impact is felt through the grating.

Entity Notes

None observed.

At 29 m a low hum at 120 Hz becomes localized to a point 1.4 m above the floor with no visible source. Hum intensity increases by 6 dB when explorer approaches within 2 m. Source remains fixed relative to vault coordinates.

Exit / Continuity Status

Exit achieved by retracing path to the access door. Door opened outward with moderate resistance.

Exterior time on exit: 03:19 local. Elapsed interior time: 32 minutes. Wristwatch confirms same interval.

Residual effects: residual 60 Hz tone audible for 8 minutes after exit. Temporary loss of depth perception lasting 14 minutes. No other reported sequelae.
