THRESHOLD COMPLEX EXPLORATION LOG

Designation / Log ID: 17-N14

Apparent Date/Time: 20 August 2026 / 11:22 (local) — secondary stamp reads 03:41 22 April 1983

Entry Method: Sliding glass partition marked “O-8 OBSERVATION”. Partition closed after entry. Exterior handle absent on exit side.

Environmental Baseline

Lighting: bank of fluorescent tubes, color temperature measured at 4100 K. Intensity constant at 310 lux.

Ambient temperature: 18.4 °C. Humidity: 29 %.

Background sound: continuous low-frequency thrum at 22 Hz. Amplitude 31 dB.

Air movement: still. Barometric pressure 1013.2 hPa on entry; 997.6 hPa after 12 m of travel.

Spatial Observations

Gallery estimated 55 m long by 9 m wide. Laser measurement returns 41 m by 14 m.

Floor: polished concrete, pale gray. Surface temperature 3.1 °C below ambient.

Walls: floor-to-ceiling glass panels on both long sides. Glass thickness measured 12 mm. Glass temperature matches ambient.

Ceiling height: 4.2 m. Support columns spaced at 6.5 m intervals. Column count remains fixed at nine after repeated inventory.

Repeating motif: every 8 m a rectangular observation desk is fixed to the floor. Desks measure 1.8 m by 0.9 m. Desk surfaces show identical wear patterns.

Anomalies

Visual parallax across glass panels fails to resolve at distances beyond 15 m. Objects visible through glass shift position by 2.3 m when observer moves 1 m laterally.

Floor remains level under spirit level. Measured slope along long axis is 4.7°. Slope direction reverses after every 9 m of travel.

Glass panels display exterior scenes that do not match current exterior conditions. Scenes cycle through four fixed views at 47-second intervals. Views show clear daylight regardless of interior lighting state.

Sound of footsteps on concrete arrives 1.4 seconds after the corresponding impact is felt. Delay increases by 0.2 s for every additional 5 m of distance from entry point.

Temperature at glass surface remains 18.4 °C while radiant heat from exterior scenes is absent. Contact produces no thermal change for the first 6 seconds.

Entity Notes

None observed.

At the 31 m mark a localized pressure drop of 4.1 hPa occurs within a 1.6 m radius. Drop persists for 11 seconds then equalizes. No visible source or air movement accompanies the change.

Exit / Continuity Status

Exit achieved by retracing path to the sliding partition. Partition opened inward with moderate resistance.

Exterior time on exit: 12:08 local. Elapsed interior time: 46 minutes. Wristwatch confirms same interval.

Residual effects: residual 22 Hz tone audible for 9 minutes after exit. Temporary inability to resolve depth beyond 8 m lasting 17 minutes. No other reported sequelae.
