Log 76-U73

Originally filed in Drive as TC-LOG-71-P68; renumbered to avoid an ID clash.

Designation: Service Corridor Junction J-3

Apparent date/time: 2026-10-24 04:17 / 2026-10-24 11:42 / instrument timestamp 03:51

Entry method: Unknown. Continuity resumes mid-corridor. Prior transition not recorded.

Environmental Baseline

Lighting: fluorescent tubes, 4100 K, 180 lux at floor, 210 lux at ceiling. Shadow cast by explorer falls 0.4 m left of body axis.

Ambient temperature: 18.4 °C at entry, 18.4 °C at 40 m, 18.4 °C adjacent to open vent. Humidity 61 %.

Background sound: continuous low-frequency hum, 58 Hz. Footstep impact arrives 0.3 s before sole contact.

Air movement: none. Pressure differential across junction door 0 Pa. Door opens against resistance consistent with 12 Pa.

Spatial Observations

Corridor runs north-south. Estimated length from junction to bulkhead 62 m. Measured length 41 m. Return measurement 78 m.

Walls: painted concrete block, paint thickness 0.2 mm, surface temperature 18.4 °C. Floor: sealed concrete, expansion joints every 4.1 m, count of joints 11 on outbound pass, 7 on return.

Junction door at midpoint: metal, 0.9 m wide. Door frame width 0.9 m. Door itself measures 1.1 m when open.

Repeating motif: yellow safety stripe along base of both walls. Stripe continues across floor at bulkhead. Stripe does not continue across floor at entry.

Anomalies

Acoustic anticipation: sole impact sound precedes visual contact by 0.3 s. Echo of same impact returns 1.1 s after the anticipated sound.

Length mismatch persists across three instruments. Laser returns 41 m. Pace count returns 62 m. Tape returns 78 m on reverse traversal.

Shadow position remains fixed relative to corridor axis. Relocation of light source does not alter shadow origin.

Vent temperature matches ambient. Airflow indicator on vent shows continuous discharge. No measurable velocity at 0.1 m from grille.

Entity Notes

None observed.

Exit / Continuity Status

Exit achieved via bulkhead door. Door opens onto identical corridor segment. Second exit attempt via same door returns to original entry point.

Residual effect: instrument clock advances 7 minutes during 41 m traversal. Continuity status: resolved.
